Welcome to The Jungle

So many things have been happening at Kinetic Dreams that we've been behind on sharing but with some snow day down time, we thought it might be nice to revisit some of our favorite projects of 2014.

AHCC Parade Project

For the past 5 years, Hartford's Asylum Hill Congregational Church, led by Minister of Music Steve Mitchell, have put on a youth parade and pancake breakfast. This year's theme was The Jungle. Anne and LB created some prototypes in cardboard and worked with the Church to present free workshops for the neighborhood, crafting animals, creatures, and insects to populate the jungle.

Arts for Learning Connecticut

As a member of Arts for Learning Connecticut's Teaching Artist Roster, Kinetic Dreams was thrilled to present puppet making workshops at the AFLCT Fall Artist Showcase in Meriden. Using recycled materials, 5th and 7th graders worked together to create Giant Puppets that took over the hallways of the Thomas Edison School.

And Guest Appearances...

Kinetic Dreams popped up everywhere this summer!

There's so much more to say and more posts coming soon!

Kinetic Dreams celebrates World Peace Day

Following another successful Night Fall, Anne & LB have been hard at work. The Hartford Seminary made 1000 origami cranes for World Peace Day and asked Kinetic Dreams to create the installation. With the help of some fabulous volunteers from the Seminary, the piece was unveiled on Monday, November 17.

And great images from the Seminary here...

Kinetic Dreams says I do!

Kinetic Dreams' dear friends Greg & Julia (of the phenomenal group Sea Tea Improv) invited us to provide the photo booth at their wedding. Besides being the one of the funniest performers in Greater Hartford, Julia is an uber-talented writer and her blog post for Carla Ten Eyck Photography is just beautiful. Make sure you scroll down through the photos to see the custom props Kinetic Dreams made for their special day. Congrats, Greg & Julia!
